Novak Djokovic Expected to Complete The Grand Slam

Even though Djokovic managed only a fourth-place finish at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the Serb travels to USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center as the odds-on favorite to claim the trophy, even though Djokovic’s slip-up in Japan prevented him from achieving the “Golden Slam,” he is still heads and shoulders above all of his competitors.

Djokovic has already won the 2021 Australian Open, 2021 French Open, and the 2021 Wimbledon and is now only one Grand Slam title away from solidifying himself as the best male tennis player in history. What’s more, Djokovic has already won the US Open three times in his career (2011, 2015, 2018) and is definitely more than capable of making it four in September.

Daniil Medvedev is viewed as Djokovic’s biggest threat at the US Open. Like Djokovic. Medvedev has had a solid season, but like Djokovic, he hasn’t won any medals in Tokyo.

The Russian tennis star lost to Pablo Carreno Busta (2-6, 6-7) in the quarter-finals. Interestingly, the Spaniard was the one who eliminated Djokovic from the tournament as well.

However, his iffy showing in Tokyo does not take away from Medvedev’s solid form on the season. He has made it to the finals in Australia, where he lost to Djokovic, and quarter-finals in France, where Medvedev had to admit defeat against the eventual finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Medvedev remains as one of the top players on the ATP tour that is still without a Grand Slam. However, he came close to achieving that feat before, namely at the US Open, where he has reached finals (2019) and semi-finals (2020).

Joining Djokovic and Medvedev as one of the favorites to win the 2021 US Open is Rafael Nadal, who is priced as high as +650 with some bookmakers. Although Nadal hasn’t achieved anything noteworthy this season, he consistently does well at the US Open, where he has won two titles in his last three visits.

A Battle Between Osaka and Barty

While the men’s side of the field has one clear favorite in Novak Djokovic, the women’s field is led by Naomi Osaka and Ashleigh Barty.

Osaka travels to the USA as the odds-on favorite, which makes sense if you consider that she is the reigning Australian Open Champion. Having said that, she has not achieved anything since the first Grand Slam of the year.

Although some of her lack of achievements has to do with her withdrawal from the French Open and Wimbledon, that’s not a very good excuse.

What’s more, Osaka crashed out from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the third round, which is definitely not a good look for the current no.2

Ashleigh Barty, meanwhile, proved to be far more consistent than the Japanese tennis star. She made it to the quarter-finals in Australia and won the 2021 Wimbledon.

Like Osaka, however, Barty hasn’t made it far at the Olympics. The Australian crashed out in the first round against Sara Sorribes Tormo.

With the top players on the WTA tour underperforming, it makes sense to look at the outsiders, who are able to take full advantage of the situation. One of the names that stands out from that group is Bianca Andreescu.

The Canadian travels to the USA as the fourth-favorite on the betting markets and is a live underdog to win the fourth Grand Slam of the year. She has already hoisted the trophy at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in 2019 when she won her first Grand Slam.

She did not return to defend her title in 2020 but now seems to be in prime form to do so. What’s more, Andreescu did not attend the Olympics due to safety concerns, so she should be well-rested and ready to make a splash.

I have had a great experience with this site. Deposit and payout methods are fairly easy. Betting is pretty self explanatory as well. Anytime I’ve had any issues (and I’ve had a few due ti my own ignorance at times) customer service has been wonderful and extremely helpful.

Sportsbook lines are great and the contests are fun. Love the casinos and quicker payiut service by bitcoin. Could be 5 stars if cashout is within 15 minutes like other sportsbook
